Known as the tent that kicks off the party, Schottenhamel is where Munich’s mayor taps the first keg on opening day. Only then can the other venues begin to serve. Starting with just 50 seats in 1867, the Schottenhamel has grown to 10,000+ seats and is the favored spot for youthful partying and pursuits. Spaten-Franziskaner-Brau is served while traditional oompah music fills the space.
